An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experiencedNeuropsychologist [Grade 2] to join the **Mary Guthrie House - Neuropsychiatry inpatient Unit
- Statewide Specialist Mental Health Program.**
Details of Department:
Mary Guthrie House - Neuropsychiatry Inpatient Unit is a multicomponent neuropsychiatry program located at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in Kew. The program specialises in the recovery of individuals under the age of 65 years with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative condition and associated mental illness including behavioural concerns.
Mary Guthrie House - Neuropsychaitry Inpatient Unit has the following programs:
- **Heath unit
, 10-bed mental health assessment unit, specialising in working with consumers, families and carers towards specialised assessment, consultation, and recommendations for appropriate recovery pathways:
Wattle Protea Unit, 20-bed secure extended care program, specialising in working with consumers, families, and carers in the provision of a slow-stream recovery.**:
Step 2, 3-bed transitional community unit, specialising in working with consumers, families, and carers in the transition from hospital to the community**
Details of position/position requirements:This is an exciting opportunity to join a collegial and innovative multidisciplinary team in providing specialised behaviour support to consumers with an acquired brain injury or neurodegenerative illness and mental health conditions.
The
Clinical Neuropsychologist [Grade 2] fulfils the roles and responsibilities of the position by demonstrating expert knowledge and skills in Acquired Brain Injury, Neurodegenerative illness and Mental Health including behavioural assessment and interventions in the context of slow-stream neurobehavioral rehabilitation, as well as neuropsychological counselling, assessment and positive behaviour support planning.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- **Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with specialist endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.**:
Hold a Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology with a minimum of 2 years professional experience
