In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a
Scheduler to work in our recently awarded Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) based at
Derwent Barracks in Hobart.

Reporting to the site Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the operation and production to drive quality efficiencies whilst encouraging and modelling safe work practices in our workshop.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday (12pm finishes on Fridays).

Other duties involve:

Assisting with resource management.
Escalation for supervision of workshop sections across all trade and support staff.
Maintain a highly diverse and focused team to achieve objectives in line with customer requirements.
Proactively engage workforce to understand better ways of service delivery.
Undertake audits and workplace inspections.
Maintain Quality management system to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Support site inductions and safety briefings.
HR and performance management support to site planner.
Meet performance expectations through contract requirements.
Mentor and develop subordinates.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Relevant experience as a Scheduler or similar.
Technical trade background in Electrical or Mechanical.
Demonstrated employee management.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Able to work autonomously.
Customer focused, a team player & relationship builder.
