We have an exciting opportunity to join the support office in Port Melbourne as an Assistant Category Manager in our Merchandise team.

You will play a critical role in supporting our power tools team in product selection, supplier meetings and maintaining category plans.


If you are passionate about tools and would like an opportunity to immerse yourself in product and range development in the tools and trade industry, this is the role for you.


About the role:


  • Support to the Category Managers to deliver organisational and divisional strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the retail network to improve product performance through problem solving and development of category plans.
  • Assist in product selection and attend meetings with suppliers.
  • Maintain the category plans and manage data integrity
  • Participate in regular category reviews


You will be mentored and coached from the best of the best This role offers career development and the opportunity to become an exceptional Category Manager over time.


What will you bring to the role:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Category Manager, Buyer Assistant or similar role
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise within a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
