The Position

  • Visit customers, both potential and existing, as directed by National Project Manager
  • Prepare quotations for services for both potential and existing customers
  • Qualify prospective customers via telephone or in person
  • Attend and participate in Quality meetings as directed by the Managing Director
  • Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of nonconformances
  • Recording internal and external complaints on QIR'S
  • Documenting Document Change Requests
  • Responsibility for the implementation of procedures relating to their area
  • The responsibility of participating in Quality Planning activities when requested and for implementing those actions
  • Review the effectiveness and continued stability of the Quality Management System
  • Review customer purchase orders, telephone, overthecounter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
  • To liase with brokers, agents and/or vessel owners regarding charter rates (import and export)
  • Input all shipments, costs and charges in operations systems and check all original documents
  • Liase with overseas offices and agents to help formulate estimates of local freight charges to be included in tender submissions for Request for Quotations received by customers.
  • Diploma, First Degree, or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of International Logistics experience
  • Experience in transport industry and/or projects
  • Advanced training in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
