We are calling for Expressions of Interest from anyone keen to be considered for potential upcoming temporary _and_ permanent opportunities throughout the various teams and depot locations within our region.


Temporary opportunities come up from time to time to back fill roles where team members are on extended leave, acting in another role, or due to increased short term demand or projects.

We anticipate the details will be...

  • Maximum Term or Permanent Full Time contracts
- $60,555 + super (up to 12%) + applicable allowances
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the MBRC EBA4 Certified Agreement

  • 9 day fortnight | 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: role dependent. Council currently has depots located at Arana Hills, Burpengary, Dayboro, Deception Bay, Caboolture, Margate, Petrie and Woodford. Please note that our Burpengary, Deception Bay and Petrie depots will be moving to a brand new depot at Narangba later in 2023

The roles and requirements:

Our teams are engaged in the operational maintenance and construction of Councils civil infrastructure.

Typically working within small crews, led by a crew leader - our labourers are maintaining the region's transport and civil infrastructure assets.

The tasks and duties of this position will vary depending on the team you are working in but will involve general labouring and various other tasks including but not limited to concreting, levelling, pavement grade checking, pipe laying, asphalting or pavement related activities, spotting for larger machines such as trucks and plant/equipment, operation of plant/equipment, basic traffic control and much more.


To be considered for these positions, you will have relevant experience in civil infrastructure maintenance or construction and you will hold an MR class truck license and a Construction Induction Card.
