About the role
The following objectives for a Technical Officer at the classification level of TGO 1 are as follows:

  • Contribute to the diagnostic service of the Immunology Directorate by the performance of routine tests including preparation and analysis of specimens, reporting results and maintenance of equipment.
  • Activities at this level may be undertaken on an individual basis or in a team and will include a requirement to exercise knowledge.
  • Participate in technical project work which requires a level of applied knowledge and skill, which can be gained by experience.

Essential Requirements:


  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working With Children Check (DHS)
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease:
Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.


Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised qualification
