About the Role**RPMGlobal is seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Advisor, specialising in Biodiversity to provide premium consulting services to RPM's global client base.

This is a permanent, full-time role based out of our Brisbane or Perth CBD headquarters. Domestic or international travel may be required as part of this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project management of client projects in a manner which meets all timeframes, budgets and client needs.
  • Independent review of biodiversity performance against recognised frameworksg. Equator Principles IV, International Finance Corporation Performance Standards and Task Force for Nature Related Financial Disclosures.
  • Development of corporate biodiversity strategies and associated performance reporting.
  • Coordination of biodiversity studies.
  • Conduct biodiversity values and constraints analysis, associated impact assessment and analysis of offsets.
  • Development of offset strategies and rehabilitation and restoration monitoring programs.
  • Auditing of compliance against biodiversity commitments.
  • Act as a senior team member on projects, managing a team of advisors if required.
  • Provide advice on compliance with legislation, guidelines and policies relevant to the regulatory authorities.
  • Provide biodiversity, ecology and environmental advice on greenfields projects, project expansions and associated feasibility studies.
  • Prepare reports, contributing to a broad range of project documentation.
  • Undertake quality assurance, including proofing, on major reports on behalf of other team members.

About You

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Environmental Science or similar.
  • Proven experience in ESG or environmental management and approvals.
  • Experience with ecological surveys, protected species management, biodiversity assessments, regional ecosystem delineation, offsets and restoration.
  • Experience in review against international frameworks relating to biodoversity.
  • Have experience writing and contributing to a broad range of project documentation i.e. reports, feasibility studies, etc.
  • The ability to communicate complex solutions to a variety of customer stakeholders, from technical to nontechnical.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills in complex business environments.
  • Technical report writing and presentations.
  • Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.
  • Eligible to work in Australia.
