Position Information:


Cronulla High School is a comprehensive, coeducational high school located in south-eastern Sydney, adjacent to Cronulla Beaches and part of the Sutherland Shire.

Cronulla High School's current enrolment of 1,290 students, has a dedicated and supporting school community committed to improving student learning outcomes.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.

In addition to the general selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated capacity to lead a high performing and dynamic faculty in the implementation of quality teaching programs, effective assessment practices and collaborative planning for the new Computing Technology Syllabuses
  • Demonstrated ability to productively lead and manage technology systems to ensure efficient operations across the school
  • Proven capacity to build authentic connections with students, staff, parents and external agencies to promote and embed technology across school practice
  • Demonstrated ability to be a dynamic member of the executive team in leading the achievement of the school's strategic directions and priorities

General Selection Criteria:


  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
