Job Description:


Exhibition Sales Executive


Responsible Account Management and New Business Development on the Decor + Design and Australian International Furniture Fair trade show - Informa Australia's largest exhibition.


A broad summary of the role follows:

Responsibilities:


  • To manage a portfolio of accounts and develop new business/sell on Decor + Design and Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF)
  • Establish senior level relationships with new prospective clients for the show.
  • Identify and convey the need to participate at Decor + Design & AIFF with the objective to ultimately sell in/upsell.
  • Establish and build solid working relationships with internal teams
  • Exhibition floorplan management to optimise revenue opportunities
  • Weekly sales reports, pipeline management and forecasting
  • Best practice in sales management and delivery

Key Priorities & Performance Measurements:


  • Achieving/exceeding exhibition revenue targets for Decor + Design + AIFF proactively responding to inbound enquiries, and selfgenerated leads based on market and product understanding
  • Hitting agreed activity levels and KPIs across the team i.e., number of calls and proposals per day/per week, number of meetings etc.
  • Campaign management on CRM database
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of sales activities and pipelines
  • Effective coordination with Marketing and Operations departments
  • Attendance at competitor shows and face to face sales meetings to develop accounts and generate new business
  • Achieve agreed onsite rebooking targets
  • Lead sourcing and researching competitors, competitive events, and design media to monitor existing and identify new clients
  • Detailed preparation and research into phone calls and customer objectives
  • Assessing varying needs and matching solutions to right business and customer
  • Engineering meetings for learning, client management and sales
  • Updating database and ensuring contact management systems are accurate for anyone else using information
  • Working with key teams internally to maximise the sales opportunities
  • Working with internal teams to ensure the delivery of each element of the promised package sold

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years sales experience with a real passion for events
  • Knowledge of the design industry and design trends within Australia (preferred)
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets
  • Prior experience in exhibitions/conferences is considered an advantage
  • Degree educated or equivalent
