APS- Program Manager, Acquisitions, Payment and Logistics:

  • Liaise with vendors, auction houses and transport companies regarding the acquisition of new material to the collections
  • Manage and monitor the budget to acquire new material in line legislation and policy guidelines
  • Support a team to arrange payment of acquisitions to meet stated targets and proactively solve escalation issues

The Collection Branch is committed to developing capability to modernise our work practices, responding flexibly and innovatively to the changed and changing nature of our work, with a special focus on developing a culturally competent workforce capable of sensitively engaging with Indigenous people and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.


The Program Manager, Acquisitions, Payments and Logistics will:

  • Develop and implement policies, techniques and procedures relating to acquisition of and payment for Library collections and associated expenses.
  • Manage staff to ensure targets are met and resolve complex payment and logístical issues.
  • Oversee budget monitoring and management, as well as other financial, statistical and administrative reporting.
  • Undertake contract management and procurement.
