About this role
The Risk Manager will be primarily responsible for supporting the Project Team in decision making, planning, supporting and coaching to facilitate the development and implementation of the Project risk management deliverables, aligned with our clients Risk Management framework

  • Lead, champion and provide guidance on the Project Risk Management Process amongst the Project team.
  • Work with Project team to ensure that risk register(s) capture key risks, controls and corresponding treatment actions
  • Ensure regular scheduled risk review activities to proactively meet the Project's deliverables to support project phase, gate and governance requirements, and promote project team ownership and accountability for risk.
  • Ensure regular scheduled risk activities reviews to proactively meet Project's risk reporting deliverables and ensure risks/risk summaries are represented at relevant meetings.
  • Monitor and report to Projects and other stakeholders on the health and status of the Risk Management process as indicated by CGR by risk and action owners.
  • Proactively manage the risk portfolio so that issues are escalated and addressed early.
  • Provide Assurance and executive risk summaries in the monthly Project report.
  • Participate in Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis and other risk analysis, as required.

About you

  • Degree qualification or equivalent risk management exposure in a project discipline. RMIA Certification would be advantageous.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role preferably in the resources and renewable energy.
  • Extensive experience of supporting mega projects in project risk roles, preferably in the resources and renewable energy sector and involved in complex construction and engineering delivery.
  • Able to adapt to multidisciplinary requirements, communicate with various stakeholders across an international business operating continuously in all time zones.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and problemsolving skills, gained through successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge and practical experience regarding successfully delivering strategic risk.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of assurance and governance.
  • Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fastpaced environment, collaborating with other likeminded team members and adjacent projects.
  • Strong team skills and willingness to travel for short and long periods.
