The opportunity
As the General Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Kinglake West operation.
This involves planning, management, coordination, and financial management of a portfolio of projects to be delivered on time and within budget.
In this role, you will:
- Establish KLMSA objectives, standards and targets within the guidelines set by the board of directors and executive leadership team.
- Carry out detailed planning and development activities to further enhance the business.
- Contribute to and execute national sales and marketing strategy.
- Facilitate the communication, implementation and stewardship that aligns with KLMSA values and culture.
- Develop a culture that attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of top quality people.
- Ensure that direct reports have defined development objectives, track progress against objectives and complete performance reviews.
- Ensure preparation and timely submission of financial reports and supporting statistical information.
- Prepare the branch for Internal and External Audits.
- Review monthly project reports from Project Managers regarding cost, progress and quality.
- Manage head contracts and subcontracts to effectively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
About you
- Minimum 7 years' experience in leading, mentoring and managing staff with 10+ years of industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience managing a successful business or business unit with P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Strong construction project management experience.
