The Manager of the Marketing and Communications section will lead a small team to effectively develop, execute and evaluate marketing, communication and stakeholder management activities.

Every day the Marketing and Communications Manager will be presented with opportunities to make a real difference.

Be it the development of exciting promotions for upcoming collectible coin launches, creating and sharing unique content to shine a light on a National Institution, finding new and effective ways to help the organisation communicate effectively across a very diverse workforce.


This is a great role for someone who can balance strategy formulation with the need to execute well, and enjoys working with a highly motivated team.


The duties of this position include:

  • Dynamically leading and managing a small team, including overseeing performance and development.
  • Providing formal and informal marketing and communications advice to the Executive Manager.
  • Undertaking and managing reporting requirements, including ensuring the Mint meets its non-financial regulatory and legislative reporting requirements, such as the development of the Annual Report.
  • Establishing, building and maintaining strong working relationships with other sections across the Mint.
  • Proactively engaging with mainstream media to generate publicity for the Mint.
  • Undertaking digital marketing, including content marketing of the Mint business.
  • Representing the Mint at various forums as required, including as media spokesperson for the Mint on occasion.
  • Acting as primary liaison between the Minister's office and the Mint in relation to public relations activities and media issues.

Security clearance
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
