Building Services Manager

Your Focus will be:


  • Manage the maintenance and repair of CommBank Stadium in accordance with the Asset Management Plan and the Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Oversee all works relating to base building service contracts including fire services, lifts, escalators, BMCS, mechanical, building structure, electrical, hydraulics, refrigeration.
  • Management of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), scheduling of maintenance tasks and completion of all certifications (AFSS, etc.).
  • Assist with the preparation and management of the annual maintenance budget.
  • Manage the administration, coordination and supervision of all maintenance contracts and agreements for maintenance and building related works, either programmed preventative or corrective.
  • Negotiate a broad range of maintenance contracts and a variety of minor maintenance or building related agreements as required.
  • Project manage and execute capital works projects and major building system upgrades as required.
  • Provide technical advice and assist with the planning and approvals for temporary event setups / building works etc.
  • Manage event day rostering and supervision of maintenance contractors rostered.
  • Manage utility usage and costs, maintaining usage records and liaison with utility service providers.
  • Manage and implement Work Health Safety (WHS) requirements and conduct site safety inductions for contractors.
  • Respond to critical building and system issues outside of normal office hours as required.
  • Provide maintenance support during Stadium events.

What you'll bring:


  • Diploma or degree qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or strong trade qualifications and experience desirable.
  • Strong project management and contractor management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to provide strategy and direction in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Competency in Windows including Word, Excel, Project and Microsoft Outlook, CMMS software, Microstation, AutoCad.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and across multiple venues in line with the requirements of VenuesLive's event schedule (which includes weekend work).
  • A positive 'can do' attitude.
