ABOUT D4C Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance, and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.

D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.

D4C will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.


ABOUT THE ROLE

D4C has opportunities available for a Leading Hands to run our Mechanical Crews on multiple Sewer Pumping Stations upgrade and treatment projects across our region.

You will be working in a hands role installing pump and pumping systems, valves and associated pipework as well as leading the team to successfully complete projects on time and to our high standards.

Reporting directly to the supervisors you will be communicating and building strong relationships with key stakeholders on the project and with our client as well as being responsible compliance testing, connection works, other associated plant operation, confined space works, pit building, general concreting, and labouring.


You must have:


  • Recent working experience in a similar position
  • Confined space works, testing, and maintenance experience
  • Water/Sewer project experience
  • Ability to make quick decisions while ensuring safety of all team members and personnel onsite
  • Experience working under pressure and in emergency situations and have strong problemsolving skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and strong communications skills allowing you to interact with people clearly and effectively within water, external organisations, and the general public.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical Trade qualification or similar discipline
  • White card
  • First Aid
  • NSW Drivers licence (MR/HR desirable)
  • Dogman ticket
  • Confined space
  • Working at heights

The following will be highly regarded but are not essential:

  • Truck licence (MR/HR)
  • Excavator Statement of Attainment
  • EWP
  • Poly Welding tickets
  • FIFM training
  • Control electrical risks on metallic pipes certification
