About the Opportunity
A new opportunity has arisen for a Production Coordinator to join our Industrial team in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team of Operators to efficiently produce large volumes of product across multiple lines, ensuring quality standards, regulatory requirements and production timelines are met.

You will be able to think on your feet, troubleshoot issues and make good decisions under pressure.

You will have a strong focus on safety and be responsible for ensuring safe work practices are being followed at all times.

Critical to this role is supporting and enabling staff development and providing individual coaching to ensure optimal performance. Whilst working on a rotating roster you will uphold the overall leadership on site.

In addition to shift management, you will work autonomously and have the ability to make informed decisions on issues across the site or elevate as required.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Ensuring production is as per the schedule, and manufacturing budget;
  • Ensuring all products produced comply to food safety requirements, meet company specification and are in line with quality guidelines and expectations of our customers;
  • Ensure that GMP policies including cleaning schedules and PMO5 schedules are adhered to and that corrective actions is taken on any anomalies that arise;
  • Management of CIP sets cleaning and maintenance;
  • Ensure standard reporting systems and records are maintained and completed by the end of shift in all areas;
  • Coordinate production operations on a shift basis, including troubleshooting and liaising with all the appropriate internal stakeholders;
  • Leading a team of Operators. Setting clear expectations and providing meaningful feedback;
  • Identifying and leading opportunities to improve existing and new manufacturing practices/processes.
To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Strong team leadership skills with proven abilities in rostering, people development and performance management;
  • Positive influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to meet and exceed their potential;
  • An indepth understanding of process operations in the food industry, preferably dairy manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of Fat and Protein management, with proven strategies to minimise loss though both water push optimisation and standardising of mixes;
  • Knowledge of operational excellence and continuous improvement;
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and OHS is essential;
  • Ability to ensure that operational targets, product safety compliance and regulatory requirements are met to the highest standards;
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


The successful applicant must be pro-active, have a hands on leadership style, highly developed organisational and time management skills as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
