The Opportunity
A new position available for a talented communications officer to join this thriving team.

Joining the Corporate Branch, your duties will be mixed and will include strategic communications, content development and management, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a labour-hire contract opportunity until May 2023, with the possibility of further extension.

Key duties will include:

Deliver highquality strategic communications activities including:
Media

- o Social media
- o Stakeholder engagement
- o Event support
- o Publications
- o Online content design

Translate complex technical material into engaging content to meet the needs of a range of stakeholder audiences
Assist in developing and executing communications plans, evaluation plans and communications products
Edit content supplied by business areas, checking for quality, formatting, and adherence to the agency writing style guide, APS Style Manual and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Collaborate with staff members across the communications section to create communications products and solutions

Skills and Experience required:

A baseline security clearance is required for this position; therefore all applicants must be Australian Citizens.

The key to success in this role will be to build rapport with stakeholders across the Department and create strong relationships that result in quality communication products.

The ability to negotiate and strong stakeholder engagement experience is essential.

Previous APS experience not essential, but preferred.
