The Project Officer (Capital Works), (AO4) is a role in which you will:

  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and continuously improve strategies and systems for tourism and visitor management in protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
  • Provide advice and assistance to regional staff, other department staff and external stakeholders on tourism and visitor management issues.
  • Assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to management of tourism and outdoor recreation on protected areas, state forests and marine parks.
  • Assist the Unit Manager to represent the Department at industry forums, interdepartmental and other committees.
  • Prepare briefings, reports, recommendations and correspondence and answer inquiries on tourism and visitor management issues.
  • Provide general administrative support to the unit.
  • Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
