_Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital_


We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Endocrinology The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Endocrinology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Endocrinology Department and Hospital as required.


The Staff Specialist in Endocrinology will play a key role in coordination and delivery of clinical services in General Endocrinology, particularly to assist in coordinating clinical services in RPAHealth1GreenSquare within the RPAH Department of Endocrinology.


The Staff Specialist in Endocrinology will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.


The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Endocrinology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.


To be employed by NSW Health, you are required to provide evidence of current immunity status that complies with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy.
