Field Sales Manager - Wines

Our client is a well credentialed winery with a growing presence in the market. They have expanded significantly since inception 20 years ago.

As they navigate the ever-evolving wine industry, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Manager based in Sydney to lead the sales team and drive further success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a sales team of 3 in Sydney, ensuring effective communication, motivation, and goal alignment.
  • Oversee and maintain relationships with key accounts, including the major grocery players.
  • Manage a diverse product portfolio.
  • Expand business with existing major accounts, especially targeting similar highprofile hotel groups.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy, with a focus on major accounts in both FMCG and hospitality.
  • Set and communicate sales targets for team members, fostering a resultsdriven culture.
  • Take ownership of the P&L for the assigned territory, demonstrating a strong understanding of numbers and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion, both domestically and internationally, leveraging industry connections and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, particularly in marketing and production, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and participate in monthly team meetings, both inperson and virtually.
  • Mentor and develop the sales team, ensuring their success on the journey of business growth.
  • Recruit and onboard new team members as necessary.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a sales leadership role within the wine industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing major accounts and driving sales growth is essential.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage a P&L.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work hard, exceed standard working hours, and travel as needed.
  • Established connections with major accounts.
