The Client Acquisition team (CA) is the new to bank business development group that supports both Commercial Banking (CB) and Major Client Group (MCG).

This area acts as the conduit for new to bank customers for all financial services. The focus of CA Business is on small to medium private companies.


Do work that matters


At the forefront of business origination and deal execution, you will specialise in identifying and pursuing opportunities with SME business clients.

You will be instrumental in driving our direction and harnessing valuable client partnerships, business relationships and new-to-bank opportunities.


This Executive Client Acquisition role is located across Adelaide and is tasked with developing new business lending opportunities, primarily for businesses with revenue up to $30m and debt levels between $1m and $10m.


More specifically, you will:


  • Identify opportunities, pursue and acquire new profitable clients for the bank by using your networks and referral sources;
  • Prepare and manage endtoend new business transactions and ensure a seamless handover to relationship teams;
  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams in order to work effectively and collaboratively;
  • Build and maintain strong referral networks to support origination activity.

This role does not involve portfolio management and focuses on origination only.

  • Origination success with newtobank business clients across diversified industries;
  • A strong established network, and business development skills to leverage that;
  • Strong project management and transaction execution skills;
  • The ability to build strong internal relationships, professional presentation and strong influencing skills;
  • Strong credit risk analysis skills.
