The Role


The purpose of this role is to assist in the design and formulation of all Seafood and Meat Food Safety policies, procedures and programs with industry standards and relevant rules and regulations.

You will also manage and maintain the Quality Management system implementation and continuous improvement across sites for the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Seafood rooms to ensure SQF/HACCP compliance
  • Assist with development of training and assessment materials
  • Assist in developing processes and procedures within the processing site
  • Conduct and/or facilitate training
  • Assist in reviewing and analysing changes to legislative requirements and their effect upon business practices and assist in the implementation of these changes
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems
  • Working closely with Quality team and sites to ensure that auditing is balanced across all areas and focused when required

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Food science/engineering or relevant qualification is preferred
  • Proven ability to conduct a diverse range of professional assignments particularly compliance and due diligence
  • Ability to work autonomously and have strong attention to detail
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, teamwork and an ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
