The Salvation Army's Gold Coast Recovery Service does amazing things

and we need your help.

We have a need for a Volunteer Bus Driver for admissions and intake for Gold Coast Recovery Services, Foundations and Withdrawal unit.

Role Tasks

  • Vehicle care: Drivers are key in ensuring the vehicle is safe and fully operational by regularly checking tyres, fuel levels and monitoring oil and water levels. Diligently ensure vehicle is checked before each shift and rectify any issues before collecting donations, reporting issues and repairs to program manager.
  • Administration: Limited to filling in the vehicle log book and ensuring an identification badge and uniform is worn at all times,
  • Transportation: Drive 10 seater bus safely from Southport office to Mount Tambourine. Transporting participants and their belongings
Qualifications and Skills

  • Current C Class driver's licence required
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer service experience highly regarded
  • Community services background or Cert IV in AOD preferred

Time Required & Commitment

5 days/ between 8am-12.30pm

  • The Salvation Army is a child safe organisation and is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. All child related roles will require the successful completion of a Working with Children Check. _Additionally, certain volunteer roles may require a National Police Check._
