Are you seeking a change? This newly created inpatient Clinical Support Officer position is designed to provide administrative and transactional support across the Medical Centre, Radiation Oncology and the Day Treatment Centre, under direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.

The successful applicant will be pivotal in providing seamless administration support across the designated units.

Salary Classification:
Administration Officer Level 3 Year - 2


Remuneration:
$ $32.57 per hour

Full Time Permanent (Part time, minimum 32 hours per week, may be considered for the successful applicant)

About the role

Key Responsibilities

Regularly update the roster in line with any approved changes i.e. sick leave, etc.

Enter information onto HR IT system once approved.


Where appropriate, participate in data entry activities that relate to patient care activities and support any member of the health care team.

Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in producing reports on finance and quality parameters/indicators.


Undertake administrative tasks related to meetings that are held in the department involving medical, nursing and allied health staff e.g.

scheduling, ensuring all relevant documents are available for the meeting and progression of action items where appropriate.

Completes work in accordance with identified timeframes and deadlines.

What you bring

Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality as appropriate for this position.

Demonstrated organisational, interpersonal, communication skills.

High level of computer literacy in a Windows environment including demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.


Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.

Ability to roster staff in the event of sick leave etc.

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation


The Calvary Mater Newcastle is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area.

Current employees of NSW Health can request to have various leave entitlement balances transferred to Calvary Mater Newcastle on commencement.

Leave types may include but not limited to Long Service Leave, Annual Leave and Sick Leave. Applicants are encouraged to discuss this with the Convenor for further information.
