About the role:


We are currently seeking two
Business Support Officers based in our Brisbane office and supporting our QLD and NSW operations.


Reporting to the Lead Procurement in Australia, the scope of your role will be to contribute to the operational excellence of the end-to-end process for the purchasing and paying of supplies, services, and equipment for mining operations.

The employee will have a shared services mindset.


Duties will include:


  • Understanding and exceeding customer service expectations
  • Addressing purchase order workflow and invoicing issues in an accurate, timely and controlled manner for an assigned region
  • Stakeholder management to ensure shared understanding and accountability with customer(s) and suppliers relating to business processes
  • Working closely with key external service providers to deliver exemplary transaction processing and service to sites and suppliers, especially the services receipting process
  • Reviewing and maintaining documented procedures relating to site workflow activities
  • Reviewing and monitoring site SAP workflow processes via system management reports such as PowerBi and SAP VIM Analytics or other reporting tools
  • Monitoring weekly reports sent to site GMs, Commercial Managers and other stakeholders and anticipate issues for further analysis and discussion
  • Fostering a culture of agility and change
  • Continuously improving processes through further automation, digitization, analytics, selfservice, mobility and enduser training

The lifestyle:


This role is available on a Monday to Friday basis as the business needs, occasional early starts and communications with US times.

We offer flexible work arrangements and offer early finshes on Friday's.


About you:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; relevant work experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in purchasing, Accounts Payable, category management or related field

  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written, which underpins your ability to problem solve in a team environment

  • Holds selfaccountable for performance and works to meet individual and business objectives
  • Practical working knowledge of automated materials and purchasing systems like SAP, Ariba, Fieldglass, or similar.
  • Knowledge of core purchasing activities and supplier relationship management


  • Adaptability

  • Maintains effectiveness in changing working conditions


  • Third Party Management

  • Identifies and documents third party service issues
  • Experience communicating across cultures and international borders is preferred
  • Must be willing to travelling to sites when required
