About the role


Join Eastern Health as a trainee Theatre Technician on a full-time basis while undertaking HLT47515 Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support at Mayfield Education.

The program includes course fees and paid time to attend training.

Join our Perioperative team where you will receive on the job training and support by experienced supervisors, managers and workplace trainers.

Ongoing employment will be offered on successful completion of the program.


Theatre Technicians are a valuable member of the multidisciplinary health care team performing duties relating to transporting, setting up, cleaning and maintaining equipment and assisting with positioning of the patient.

Eastern Health's perioperative team is skilled, friendly, supportive and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in the reprocessing of medical equipment

About you


To be successful in this role you will have:
A commitment to completion of HLT47015 Certificate IV in Sterilisation

Basic computer skills

A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Good communication and organisational skills

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.

An offer of employment is conditional on your providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster and Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
