About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Alcohol & Drug Service.


The Telehealth & Innovation Manager is responsible for the operational management and leadership of this service in partnership with participating rural local health districts.


The role will also lead and act in a consulting capacity to other ADS managers undertaking service improvement projects concerned with the provision of value based healthcare.

The incumbent will be required to provide expert advice and support on project management, change management and service redesign methodologies, particularly but not limited to ADS projects where technology and/or telehealth are being used as an enabler for change.

The role thereby supports the development of project management, innovation and change management skill development across the ADS.

Selection Criteria:


  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related field and project management experience, including experience in project planning, evaluation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving patient outcomes and standards of care using research or quality improvement methodology.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational, time management and planning skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and complete several tasks concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven strategic, analytical and problem solving skills and a demonstrated understanding of the service improvement and evaluation processes.
  • Advanced writing, communication and negotiation, relationship management skills including the ability to prepare project documentations, system requirements, flowcharts, draft high level advice and other communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
