The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Processing and Logistics team as an Logistics Site Leader.

Reporting to the QLD Processing & Logistics Manager, you will lead a team of 25 team members working with road and rail partners to deliver exceptional outcomes for our QLD Customers.

In this fast-paced site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

The QLD Logistics business will be transformed in the next 12 months with the introduction of new software systems, new rail service providers and changes to large freight handling contracts.

What Will You Do?

The role will see you:
- forge strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
- promote well-being and inclusive behaviours
- support operational contractor management, cost efficiencies and prompt service with a view to operational efficiency
- planning & working through large volume fluctuations due to significant weather events as well as critical project timelines
- ensure compliance with statutory requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPS) and audit requirements
- provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members
- leading the site through significant transformation over the next 2 years
- identifying improvement opportunities and implementing where appropriate
