About the role

  • Ongoing fulltime vacancy. 35 hours per week.
  • Location: Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade 7/8. Salary $106,025 to $117,363 plus super and annual leave loading.
About the team


The Estate Management division makes financial and legal decisions for people who are unable to on their own, or with support, when NSW Trustee & Guardian is appointed as their financial manager by a court or tribunal.

The team also oversees people who are appointed to privately manage the finances of another person.

The division delivers high quality financial management service using a customer-centred approach and is delivered by:


  • Customer Foundation
  • The Customer Foundation Team is responsible for the highquality onboarding of new customers where a financial management order has been made. The team works with the customer and important people in their life to ensure NSW Trustee & Guardian has a good understanding of the customer's financial situation, financial decisions that may need to be made and how they can be supported into the future.


  • Private Management

  • The Private Management team provides oversight and support to privately appointed financial managers (private managers) who are responsible for managing the financial and legal affairs of someone who is not able to make decisions on their own. The role of the Private Management team includes oversight of major decisions a Private Manager is proposing to make, review of annual accounts as well as advice and support to financial managers.


  • Proactive Customer Management

  • The Proactive Customer Management Team is responsible for complex and critical estates, and engages with our financial management customers and their families when making financial decisions on their behalf, including the development and review of financial strategies and budgets. Some of the teams provide facetoface intensive financial management and other support services to some of NSW most vulnerable customers.
About the role


As the leader of the project team within the Estate Management Division, your responsibilities will include overseeing research efforts, managing various projects, and ensuring their successful delivery.

You will collaborate closely with your team to execute project management activities effectively and contribute to the division's overall strategic development goals.


In your day-to-day role, you will focus on preparing comprehensive reports and briefs, coordinating resources efficiently, and managing project documentation to ensure timely outcomes.

Your customer-centric communication style will foster strong rapport and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Additionally, you will analyse data to identify emerging or systematic issues, shaping project objectives aimed at enhancing customer service through process and practice improvements.

About you


The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Experience in developing and leading a high performing team with a culture of accountability. As a leader, you would be able to supervise and provide advice to your team.

  • Sound experience in monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure that objectives are being met in budget and timeframes.
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly in changing situations and willingness to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage and resolve competing priorities.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in project management, research, analysis and preparation of reports and advice.
  • Understanding of NSW Trustee & Guardian's key services and customer base including experience working and/or supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.
