WORKSHOP MANAGER - PERTH
BDS Mechanical Repairs is offering a great opportunity for a skilled manager to join our well-established business in Perth.
We need someone to oversee a new workshop in Perth with a hands-on and proactive approach.
In this role, you will be in charge of the workshop operations, parts, contracts, and staff, requiring strong financial and customer management skills. Leadership, fostering a successful culture, profitability, and teamwork are also key aspects of this position.
BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing business providing mechanical, auto electrical, and welding repairs in-house and on-site across Queensland. With 22 fixed workshop locations and over 160 field service units covering a vast area, we prioritize our employees' well-being and work-life balance.
- Management experience necessary
- Trade qualification in Diesel fitter/Diesel mechanic/LV Mechanic preferred
- Experience in automotive workshops advantageous
- Strong communication and people management skills required
- Proven success in team leadership
- Proficiency in business management and WH&S
- Computer skills proficiency
- Drive for business growth and customer relationship maintenance
The Job:
- Running day-to-day operations of a mechanical business
- Handling internal and external clients
- Willingness to be hands-on and work with tools
- Job planning and customer communication
- Assisting with job cards
- Tracking, reporting, and staff management
- Estimating, quoting, and quality control
- Workshop safety and management
