Due to a retirement our client is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Maintenance/Electricial Team. This role will utilise all your strengths and enable you to stretch and expand your skills and experience. This well established family owned manufacturing business within food packaging has had over 55 years of success and growth.

Reporting to the Head of Operations this role is broad and varied.

Responsibilities include however not limited:

Managing the Maintenance and Engineering team on site
Managing the mainenance industrial plant and equipment,
Manage Engineering continuous improvement initiatives in line with site objectives
Management

of Engineering department Safety, Health and Environment program

Assist with long term capital planning and implementing capital projects
Full budgetary accountability for the Engineering Department
Engage with production team to improve plant reliability

To be successful and a high achiever within this position you will have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, leadership experience (6yrs), formal training in Lean Manufacturing techniques, practical experience with Six Sigma and process management.

You will need to have strong analytical ability, stakeholder management and communication skills along with good technical report writing skills.
