Bluefin Resources are working with a prestigious government enterprise to recruit a Data Governance Specialist for a 12 month contract with further extensions.

Primary purpose of the role

The primary purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice and expertise concerning data governance arrangements to support the development and execution / embedding of Enterprise Information Management strategies, creating alignment and horizontal integration of data and information across the division as well as the cluster.

The role also involves the development and promotion of safe data sharing and democratisation both across divisions and between government agencies (including Open Data Policy).

Key accountabilities

Support with the development, socialisation and embedding of the Data Governance and management strategy, frameworks and standards to achievecluster Data and Analytics vision and roadmap.
Develop and implement process to classify data within the data governance and management framework and collaborate with Enterprise Data Steward(s) and divisional data stewards to implement across the cluster.
Implement processes and frameworks which enable democratisation of data within the data sharing principles with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop policy and standards that is complaint with policy and legislation for ethical use of data.
Devise and enforce metadata, data stewardship and data sharing standards across NSW Gov and Cluster.

Key Knowledge and Experience

Experience in development of policies in relation to protection and governance of data

On Offer - This is an initial 12 month contract with a high chance of extensions. Work from home and one day in the Macquarie Park office.
