About The Centre


Thrive Hornsby is our 92 place centre located in Northern Sydney and follows a play-based learning approach in a bright and modern building with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for children to explore.

Our culture is inclusive, collaborative and encouraging. We have a diverse team of educators and promote open communication between leadership and team members.


About The Role


We currently have an exciting opportunity for an educator with a completed diploma qualification to join the team in a permanent full time capacity.


This position will see you working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday or 10 hours per day, 4 days per week.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • To build and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators
  • Have a sound knowledge of and demonstrate highquality practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Provide assistance to other Educators in the room
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with team members
  • Maintain effective communication with parents
  • Actively contribute to the educational program, observations and documentation, using Kinderm8 and informal opportunities

  • A recognised Diploma qualification in Children's Services
  • Current First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Child Protection training
  • A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

$ $30.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Hornsby, NSW 2077: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (required)
