At Bailey Nelson, our Regional Managers are accountable for their store's culture and core values being alive and well.

They oversee a portfolio of stores in their region, and are responsible for maintaining exceptional store standards from strong customer experience in store to great optics and product knowledge across the team.

Our Regional Managers are also responsible for maintaining operational excellence and consistency between stores so they can run smoothly and efficiently.


The Regional Manager is accountable for all aspects of regional performance including hiring, developing and leading our amazing store managers in the successful growth of their stores from a people, profit, operations and technical skills perspective.

This role is accountable to drive both topline and profitability growth, delivering key performance metrics through the brand proposition ensuring flawless execution of superior customer experience, establishing high standards of performance and operational excellence through exceptional high performing talent and adherence to all policies and procedures.

About the Role
As our new Regional Manager in NSW leading a team of both Retail and Optometry team members, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating store performance with the Store Manager and seek to constantly improve all aspects of performance, through coaching and supporting our store teams.
  • Uses performance data collected from various sources including Support Office functions, Store performance, Regional Performance and Competitors to ensure performance shortfalls and opportunities are identified and specific strategies are developed to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Providing ongoing and consistent feedback/coaching of SM's on leadership, performance, customer experience.
  • Have genuine influence over the P&L of your region through strong forward planning and dynamic execution of those plans.
  • Actively sharing your ideas and implement process and procedures demonstrating Best Practice in Stores.
  • Builds and maintains effective communication channels with all relevant Bailey Nelson departments.
  • Endtoend recruitment for your region alongside our Talent Acquisition Specialist and your team of Store Managers.
  • Succession planning across the wider region and providing a range of development opportunities for your teams.
  • Be a BN values advocate, working cross functionally with our Australian and international teams.

About You

  • You will ideally have exposure to the optics industry and have a knowledge of optical dispensing
  • 3+ years in a Retail Management role, ideally with multisite exposure
  • Experience in training delivery
  • Experienced leader who can communicate at scale and make challenging decisions
  • Well developed oral and written communication skills
  • Well developed influencing skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Detail oriented and excels at planning
  • Able to multitask and see clearly what the priority activity areas are
  • Demonstrates sound business judgement
