The organisation


As a Queensland Government statutory body, our client is committed to delivering exceptional services to the State through the design and delivery of key educational pieces.

This statutory body collaborates closely with a broad range of stakeholders and partner agencies to deliver on their strategic objectives.

The team are now seeking an experienced Principal People and Culture Advisor to join their team on a contract basis until September 2024.

The role


As the Principal People and Culture Advisor, you will be responsible for planning, developing and leading significant projects aimed at enhancing organisational capabilities.

This involves strategising to meet both present and future organisational needs while adhering to best practices in workforce management.

Your role will include spearheading the design and execution of crucial learning and development initiatives. This encompasses analysing capability and development needs, implementing leadership development programs and formulating strategies for career progression.


You will be tasked with crafting high-quality written materials such as policy documents, reports and briefing notes for senior stakeholders.

These documents will cover a wide array of complex and confidential issues related to workforce management.


Collaborating closely with the Manager of the People and Culture, you will contribute to operational and strategic workforce planning efforts.

This involves providing expert guidance on workforce planning and management matters, aiding in skill development and fostering a deeper understanding of these concepts within the organisation.

A key aspect of your role will be conducting research and analysis to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.

Drawing from diverse sources of information, you'll generate solutions aligned with contemporary practices and offer evidence-based recommendations to drive informed decision-making.

About you


To succeed in this role, you will:
Have experience working at a HR Advisory level and be details focused;
Ideally be degree qualified in HR or other relevant areas;
Have experience rolling out HR initiatives / projects;
Be passionate about engaging with the business to deliver strong HR results; and

Have an ability to deliver practical solutions within required timeframes.
