About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for multiple solicitor roles to provide general commercial and property legal services to Government.

One role is part of the Commercial, Environment and Native Title (CENT) section, which provides legal services in relation to the full range of the Government's commercial and land related activities including the environmental, planning and native title aspects of them.

Another role is to provide commercial and property legal services to the Department for Education through the CSO outposting program as part of a team of solicitors within the Public Law Section (PLS).

Both roles require high quality legal advice, document preparation, and representation on a range of interesting and challenging matters.

The roles are at the LEC1 to LEC2 level, which provide legal practitioners the opportunity to have the carriage of less complex matters to develop client rapport and independence, as well as to work closely with experienced senior and executive solicitors and develop and build their skills on more complex matters including major Government commercial projects.
