High Profile/ Royal Commission Project- Fixed term Contract
- Leadership role
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a range of support to ensure the Organisation meets its compliance obligations under the Act and other relevant legislation, government procedures and standards.
- Support the Office in the delivery of a range of policy related projects, research, formulation of policy advice and meeting governance targets consistent with policies and procedures under limited guidance
- Provide project management support on complex projects
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with the multidisciplinary environment.
- Initiate and maintain sound professional relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide briefings on policy and operational matters, support in drafting annual report, support governance structures and arrangements including preparing meeting papers under limited guidance
- Drive policy development through research and consultation, and through identification of emerging issues, risks and trends impacting on the achievement of key objectives.
- Accountable delivery of key projects including identifying potential barriers and influencing solutions.
- Undertake complex correspondence, briefs and other written outputs to inform decision making and contribute to policy, project outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
- Undertake and develop clear and robust reports and briefs with recommendations using information gathered, collated and interpreted during the course of research, or as directed and under limited guidance.
- Other policy and project related duties as directed.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in prominent policy area and providing strategic project management support.
- High level expertise in research, analysis and problem solving.
- Advanced written communication and experience in providing a broad range of policy and administrative support.
- Formal qualifications and/or training in public policy and government project management.

- Produce a range of complex technical reports and recommendations on relevant issues which are evidence based and provide a sound basis for decision making.
- Organising and Planning
- Plans complex project and work programs aligned with business objectives, identifies and secures resource requirements, and anticipates and addresses barriers to achievement.
- Policy Skills
- Knowledge of policy development cycles and experience in research, formulation, and implementation based on understanding of current issues.

- Support service delivery outcomes by identifying potential issues and stakeholder needs, and suggest improvements through a customer and solutionfocused lens.
- Problem Solving
- Uses specialist knowledge and expertise to address complex problems, gathering relevant information and generating and testing a range of solutions and outcomes.
- Advanced Computer Skills
- Understands and applies advanced computer skills to word processing, spreadsheet, slide presentation, or database functions
