THE FIRM

We are partnering with a full-service, commercial law firm who provide legal expertise and industry knowledge to private and public sector and not-for-profit clients across Australia.

This well established firm have a great reputation of achieving success for and with their clients by remaining adaptive to change.

They work with some of the best-known Australian and overseas companies to mid-market, privately owned or publicly listed companies, as well as not-for-profit government entities and private clients with a mix of commercial and family assets and investments.


THE ROLE
In this role, you will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Planning & Environment group.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):


  • Diary and calendar management including coordinating and organising meetings (internal and external)
  • Drafting correspondence, Disclosure Statements and Costs Agreements
  • Transcription of dictation
  • Collation and management of Court and Tribunal documents
  • Format, edit and review documents
  • File and document management including client and matter opening, electronic and physical filing
  • Undertaking title and company searches
  • Prepare monthly billing
  • Assist with general financial tasks including timesheet entries and debt reminders
  • Arrange general and trust account receipting and disbursing of funds

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, you will have at least 2 years proven experience working in a legal assistant position, ideally within Planning and Environment.


In addition to this you will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills, enabling a quick turnaround of tasks
  • Exercise initiative, be proactive and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a team player
  • A positive, friendly and energetic attitude
