Permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper

National employeeowned engineering consultancy
Brisbane CBD Riverside location, with flexible working hours

Engeny is a specialist environmental and engineering consultancy with 180 staff across 6 locations in Australia.

We're looking for an accounts all-rounder to join our head office finance team of 3 in Brisbane to meet the demands of our business expansion.

About the Role:

This is a newly created position and will initially focus on payroll and accounts payable, then broaden and change overtime.

The role is hands-on and diverse, and you will be supporting our Financial Controller, Finance Officer and Accountant.

Initial tasks will include:

Setting up and maintenance of employee cards in MYOB
Running leave reports, leave reconciliations
Processing twice monthly payroll for professional staff according to contracted hours, and casual staff
Processing superannuation and PAYGW payments
Supplier invoice entry and payment setup
Processing credit card payments
Ad hoc support across a range of activities that will include EOM and employee share ownership tasks

About You:

Cert IV in Bookkeeping (minimum)
35 years solid bookkeeping experience
Payroll experience essential
Competent in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, data sorting)
Possess and demonstrate strong people and time management skills
Experience working in professional services environment advantageous
Enthusiastic and can work autonomously or as part of a team with support from senior staff and colleagues
