  • This is an exciting, expansive National Sales Manager role to drive the growth of Mustela, one of the leading baby skincare brands in Australian pharmacies (Number 1 in Europe) from Expanscience Laboratories. The National Sales Manager will lead a team of two sales representative and will be responsible for achieving the annual target and business objectives by ensuring the implementation of the sales strategy, and participating in the development of new sales opportunities for Expanscience Laboratories Australia._

Mustela baby products are sold through pharmacies nationwide and a few online e-retailers.


Responsibilities and mission

Commercial, merchandising and training policy

  • Understand the market and all types of distribution and anticipate their evolution
  • Implement and oversee the training policy decided by the management and the marketing department for pharmacy staff to improve sales, knowledge and advice of our products
  • Implement the merchandising policy decided by the management and the marketing department

Definition and follow-up of sales objectives

  • Set and followup objectives for each sales rep: sales, training sessions, merchandising actions and other commercial actions
  • Propose the quarterly bonus system for the reps
  • Use sales reports to analyze the results and propose actions plan to assure the achievement of the objectives

Management of sales team

  • Management of the sales team: recruit a high performance sales team, motivate, develop and coach sales reps in line with the human resources guidelines
  • Plan and manage territories of sales team
  • Participate in the presentations for sales conferences

Develop commercial partnership with key clients

  • Develop the leadership of Expanscience brand (Mustela): merchandising strategy, training session for POS in collaboration with marketing department
  • Help manage key commercial events or PR events with the marketing manager & GM
  • Manage key accounts
  • Manage budget linked to coop

Participation in the strategy of the company

  • Help to develop the strategy of the company in collaboration with marketing, finance departments and general manager: preparation of budget, 3 years plan and estimate
  • Participate in sales forecasts

Budget and administration

  • Participate in the definition of the sales budget
  • Contribute ideas for the marketing budget dedicated to coop agreement
  • Define, followup, assess, the bonus system in collaboration with the finance manager and the general manager

Customer Service

  • Support the reps managing accounts that are too far to visit
  • Managing some of the pharmacies in WA/ QLD/ SA (including overnight travel if required to achieve the monthly targets
  • Give aftersales support when requested

Sales reporting

  • Database Maintenance: keep master sales database up to date as our one true record for use with reporting.
  • Compliance Report and Territory List maintenance
