You will be working within Compliance's Regulatory Assurance team within our Risk Management Group.Regulatory Assurance is a line 2 function responsible for delivering effective risk-based assurance reviews across all of Macquarie's operating groups, to ensure compliance with Australian laws and regulations.
You will lead targeted assurance reviews over key compliance risks faced by Macquarie's operating groups and over regulator focus areas, as well as reviews requested by Compliance management or the Business.
You will have the opportunity to identify issues and corresponding actions throughout reviews, along with driving initiatives to achieve greater compliance and business-oriented results.
You will have the opportunity to perform all of the above while practicing strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
You'll bring solid regulatory compliance assurance experience from within one of the Big 4 audit firms, a financial services organisation, or a financial services regulator.
You'll demonstrate an inquisitive and analytical mind with the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems, and propose viable solutions.
You will also have the ability to develop relationships across various stakeholders, including regional Compliance staff and the Business, whilst demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed.
Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
