  • Lead the pursuit and delivery of a variety of Strategic Advisory projects, including consulting on energy policy, technical advisory and due diligence of projects in development, Feasibility Studies and other strategic advisory services.
  • Exhibit and lead by example, the four key Values to PSC. Embed and encourage a strong team culture that supports PSC to attain it's Vision. For example customer centric engagement.
  • Both manage deliverables, schedules and budgets for client projects and studies for large projects, as well as lead and develop more junior engineers in project management of smaller scale projects within the portfolio
  • Engage with clients around projects and opportunities, following our client management framework at PSC ("BD"). Engage with client also during delivery, and manage client expectations through regular communications and responsiveness
  • Lead and do (large scale) the preparation of proposals and presentations to clients for strategic and grid connection type opportunities
  • As a Technical Lead, lead a variety of Power Networks studies, including load flow, short circuit and stability analysis
  • Prepare, review and sign off detailed technical reports delivered by the team
  • Engage with, collaborate and coordinate workflows with PSC colleagues within the APAC region and also engage with technical peers on technical excellence initiatives globally
  • Assist the GM with contractual negotiations and engagements with clients and/or subcontractors
  • Mentor, coach and develop junior engineers
  • Ability to travel, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with higher degrees looked upon favourably
  • Expertise in power system analysis in generation, transmission and/or distribution systems with a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Highly proficient, advanced users of PSS/E and/or PowerFactory and/or PSCAD network simulation software. Must have experience in at least one of the software packages, multiple is preferred.

Attributes and Skills:

  • Ability to work to deadlines and exceed client expectations
  • Excellent presentation skills to represent PSC in industry forums, working groups and conference as well as client presentations
  • Strong team lead, hands on recruitment, coach and training experience
