***: Working within the Project Management Office at the Public Health Division, the Technical Lead, PMO will enable and support the public health system reform in Victoria through effective project management across the division.
The Technical Lead, PMO will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and SMEs to play a pivotal role in delivering the objectives of Victoria's public health system reform, fostering a focus on trust and confidence, social determinants of health, intergenerational wellbeing, and the principles of value-based health care.
The PMO will be providing strategic leadership, project management advice as well as hands-on project management support and development of project management products to ensure the successful and timely delivery of priority projects across multiple streams of work.
The PMO will undertake project oversight, planning, coordination, implementation, reporting and monitoring of activities throughout the life cycle of a project and work across teams within the Public Health Division as required.
Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders on project planning and project reporting products.
- Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Drive ongoing improvements to quality and processes.
- Ensure relevant SOPs and protocols for the regular reports are developed, maintained and accessible to all who need them.
- Operate with transparency, diplomacy and with impartiality.
- Keep accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
- Ability to work in highpressured agile environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
