APS- Coordinator, Technical Acquisitions (Oral History and Sound / AV):

The Library has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic AV professional to join the Collection Branch in a coordinator role (APS 5) in the Collect and Acquire section.

The Library is a respected custodian of Australia's published, written, oral, visual and digital heritage, and a world-leading provider of access to that heritage.

The collection is at the centre of the work we do to extend national reach and develop collaborative content.

The Collection Branch is committed to developing capability to modernise our work practices, responding flexibly and innovatively to the changed and changing nature of our work, with a special focus on developing a culturally competent workforce capable of sensitively engaging with Indigenous people and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

We have an immediate need for an ongoing APS 5 role in the Collect and Acquire Section.

A merit pool will be created from this selection process that may be used to fill additional ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies that arise over the next 18 months.

You will coordinate work related to the technical production and preservation of the Library's archival audio-visual, Oral History and other sound recording collections.

The role has people, program, and stakeholder management responsibilities, requiring engagement with staff across the Library and maintaining positive working relationships with a network of people and organisations external to the Library.
