THE ROLE:


  • Carry out required workplace audits and other scope reporting, with a key eye to informing decision makers, trend analysis, targeted areas for improvement and injury prevention.
  • Complete incident investigations (Basic, ICAM), working closely with section Leaders and company management.
  • Assess and recommend possible worksystem improvements, for the reduction of future injuries, enhancement of workplaces and overall safety, processes, tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate safety related inductions for the company by facilitating presentations, site tours, issuing documents and filing.
  • Implement Risk Assessments and Corrective Action Plans.
  • Review, create and implement SWP's (Safe Work Procedure) & SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement).
  • Review and update supplier MSDS.
  • Conduct PPE reviews with Purchasing Department.
  • Coordination of company First Aid (Team meetings, Poster updates, Support to First-Aiders, First-Aid duties, Stock/Kit management).
  • Oversee external cleaning services by providing direction, problem solving and chemical stock management.
  • Liaise with property managers and the associated contractors. (electrical, fire safety, gardening, plumbing, etc.) for SEQ sites and assist with interstate locations.
  • Log, track, record and carry out approved actions to assist injured staff members in both workrelated injury and personal injury settings under the direction of company management.
  • Support Injury & Wellbeing Coordinator by liaising with injured staff members, key staff within the organisation and if required, relevant regulatory bodies (such as Workcover) on any injury status, rehabilitation, duties capacity and full fitness return to contracted duties.
  • Liaise promptly, efficiently and accurately with relevant regulatory bodies in any workrelated, alleged claim, determination, case management, ongoing treatment and/or postrehabilitation processes.
  • Demonstrate a flexibility and willingness to work with multiple departments, within our national business with an emphasis on using personal initiative and crossteam cooperation, as a means to continued role success.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

1) Recognised Workplace Health and Safety (Cert IV) qualification will be highly regarded

2) Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) will be highly regarded.
