We currently have an opportunity for a
Demand Forecasting Analyst to join the
National Replenishment and Forecasting team reporting into the
National Forecast Manager based at
Macquarie Park.
As the
Demand Forecasting Analyst, you are responsible for the macro level forecast of the Metcash Food Team and the lead for system and process changes in the Demand Planning Processes.
What you'll do
- Extract and review mass / complex data sets, conduct reviews, and facilitate mass uploads into the forecast engine
- Identify and implement Demand Specialist forecast accuracy opportunities using forecast accuracy exception reporting, planner vs. system insights, and customer / Retailer insights
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the consensus forecast process between Metcash and Retailers, and Metcash and suppliers.
- Own the ongoing operational process including relationship management and effective management of State specific forecast events
- Manage long term forecast timelines and drive best in class seasonal forecasting.
- Own the forecast review process for floating events including a granular review of key floating event categories
- Create, own, and manage the forecast review calendar as well as the PIR planning for all key events
- Liaise with Customers and Supply teams to ensure all known information is applied to the forecast
- Periodically review and implement Demand Specialist processes with key internal and external (i.e., Blue Yonder) stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience in demand planning and/or demand analytics in an achievement driven environment
- Strong Demand Planning and Analytical background, preferably in FMCG
- Extensive experience in Blue Yonder or like forecasting system
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders from varying knowledge levels
- Professional Communication
- Excellent Problem solving including 'outside the box' solutions
- Advanced analytical skills
- Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Excel
