Risk Management ensures the Group has appropriate strategies and robust frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.

Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) risk analytics team is part of Risk Management with a focus on IB&M portfolio.

It consists of 3 teams:
reporting & analytics, stress testing and IFRS9 provisioning.

The risk analytics team specializes in the provision of accurate and insightful analysis and serve wide range of stakeholders across both Risk and Business.

The team takes pride in delivering value adding insights and optimise the risk adjusted return for the business.

As a member of the IB&M Provisioning team, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate reports and financial disclosures relating to IFRS9 provisioning, generation of insightful analysis to explain results and address stakeholder enquiries.

You will also work with stakeholders across business, risk management and auditors both domestic and offshore.

As a manager of the team, you will be required to perform leadership duties; mentor and provide guidance to the team members.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately calculate, report and present credit loss provisions under the Group IFRS9 framework to a wide range of stakeholders.
Analyze and clearly communicate changes in portfolio credit quality and its impact on provision.
Collaborate with both risk and business stakeholders to identify areas with emerging risks or heighted concerns, document adjustment rationales and supporting industry analysis while quantifying the impact of the adjustments.
External Disclosure assist in delivery of reports required by regulators and the Group for the external disclosure. Perform analysis to explain the trend and provision movement.
Lead one direct report, while providing support and coaching to the wider provisioning team, to meet performance expectations.
Support the various strategic projects across the group such as model implementation, processes automation and simplification, and impact assessments.
Assist with establishment and maintenance of well documented, transparent and robust internal controls to ensure that reports and information are validated and reconciled and all regulatory, accounting and audit (internal & external) requirements are met.

We are interested to hear from you if you have/are

Strong attention to detail.
Good technical skills in SAS and SQL to enable data extraction & analysis. Demonstrated Microsoft Excel skills. ( _Experience with R _or _Python is desirable _).
Analytical mindset with prior experience working in a data and analytics area.
Advanced problem solving skill.
Experience and knowledge of IFRS9 provisioning desirable.
Leadership qualities and effective communication skills, with a genuine willingness to collaborate across various teams across the group.
