Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide.

Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.


Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic medical practitioners to join our team as a
Basic Physician Trainee Year 2 (BPT2) in the
Medical Workforce for the 2024 Clinical Year (commencing
February 2024).


Details of Department


Successful trainees will be offered a wide selection of general and speciality rotations within a major teaching hospital, a smaller metro hospital (Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital campus), and a large regional hospital (Bendigo Health).

Please note that a regional/rural term is an expected component of Central North West Consortium BPT2 appointments.

  • Have current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
