Paralegal/Legal Assistant, Policy and Specialised Legal team - Fixed term, up to 12 months

The OPP have an opportunity for the role of Paralegal/Legal Assistant to work in our Policy and Specialised Legal team.

As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant you will be primarily provide legal administrative support and assist legal practitioners with file management and the preparation of court documents.

The role also provides an opportunity to undertake research, investigation and analysis of legal issues and provide written and verbal advice and recommendations (as required).

The available positions are Melbourne CBD based and flexible work arrangements will be considered.

The role of Paralegal/Legal Assistant at the OPP, requires that you:

  • Have a good knowledge of office/administration and government processes (highly desirable)
  • Experience working with legal professionals in a busy work environment (highly desirable)
  • Hold a valid Australian Drivers' License.
The position is assessed as having a medium level of intrinsic risk.
