Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in multiple APS5 and APS6 Content Designers for a 12 month with potential for another 2 x 12 month contractextensions in MELBOURNE CBD

BACKGROUND
The Content Design and Delivery section creates and manages content on Services Australia website ). Demand on the website and ongoing work related to sustaining this channel will continue in


Planned activities for include supporting disaster communication, further integration of the user customer journey across the myGov and Services Australia websites, redevelopment of health professionals content and site components and further content improvements taken from the recommendations of recent end to end testing and other research.

Content designers remove complexity, giving staff and customers a seamless online experience.

The agency's goal is to make our content simple and user's journey intuitive in line with the agency's content strategy to meet user needs and business objectives.


We require content designers to support the division's ongoing program of work and role in whole of government content management and delivery.


Job Overview
Content designers create website content.

They require strong content design skills, experience in service design, the ability to collect and use data and experience working in an agile environment with varied stakeholders.


Key Duties

  • Design content in line with the agency's content strategy to meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Analyse user stories, design content flows and create simple and helpful content. Make content recommendations to address user issues and needs.
  • Participate in Agile projects. Use Agile principles to create, test, improve and iterate content.
  • Administration, gatekeeping and publishing requests. Ongoing streamlining and improvement of processes.
  • Advocate for users in your content design work.
  • Provide guidance to junior content designers.

Key Skills and attributes

  • Strong content design skills.
  • An understanding of service design. Experience designing content that's accessible, discoverable, usable and inclusive.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking capability. Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and use user data, journey maps and research reports.
  • Excellent task planning and prioritisation skills. Comfortable working with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals.
  • Experience working in an Agile project. Experience using agile tools and processes.
  • Strong experience working effectively and cooperatively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make swift evidencebased decisions using common sense judgement and ethical decision making.
  • Leadership skills and ability to assist peers and mentor other team members.

Desirable Qualifications:

Highly Desirable - Tertiary qualifications majoring in communication-related disciplines or at least 1 year's relevant communication/writing experience.


What's on Offer?

  • Position located in
    MELBOURNE CBD:
  • APS5 $55.00/ph + super
  • APS6 $60.00 and $65.00/ph + super depending on experience
  • Temporary contract for up to 12 months, with potential for another 2 x 12 month extensions
  • The Specified Personnel will be expected to work 8 hours per Business Day, within the bandwidth of 7:00am to 19:00pm, as agreed with Contract Manager. Monday to Friday
